Thématique :

I study the environment of insect vectors of diseases, especially Anopheles mosquitoes in West Africa. My work focuses on characterizing residual malaria transmission (species, behaviours, resistance mechanisms...), studying the determinants (environment, selection pressures...) of behavioural and physiological resistances in mosquito vectors and modelling the interactions between resistances and malaria transmission. This research is carried out with the aim of producing fundamental knowledge about mosquito ecology and to identify characteristics of future vector control tools and to improve implementation of current tools in space and time.
