PEACH: Pathogens Exposure from Aquifers: A Cambodian Health interdisciplinary case study (2024-2026)
PI : S. Massuel (G-EAU)
In an interdisciplinary way, integrating environmental microbiology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, geophysics, and social geography, the PEACH project aims to explore the human microbial exposome in the upper Mekong delta (Cambodia), subject to large natural flooding every monsoon season. The PEACH project aims to develop innovative strategies to monitor the environmental exposure to waterborne pathogens like Burkholderia pseudomallei and Leptospira interrogans, responsible for melioidosis and leptospirosis, across the surface-underground continuum.
