The project will involve collecting feces from cattle, pigs, poultry, dogs and water in breeding centers in the Lima and Ica regions, collecting feces from farmers and their families, and conducting surveys of farmers. The feces will be cultured on antibiotic selective media to isolate and characterize strains of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp. resistant to the antibiotics of interest (extended-spectrum beta-lactams, carbapenemases, quinolones and colistin).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Financeur: Prociencia, Peru.
